Welcome to CURL Weight Loss, feel free to check out some of the great content and interesting resources I have on assembled to create a easy, effective weight loss program.  While you can see below how The CURL (Change UR Life) Plan worked for me, the purpose of this site is to provide as many resources and tools consistent with the philosophy that the goal is a sustainable Healthy Lifestyle.

This is a plan to CHANGE YOUR LIFE!  It is way to lose weight and gain energy.  I wanted to look and feel better about myself.  A wardrobe you dream of fitting into can become attainable.  I cut 5 inches off my waist.  Less weight means a better love life!!  Just think of the extra energy and stamina after dropping that fat forever.  All the health benefits of a THINNER, FITTER you are there for the taking.

  • KEEP IT SIMPLE!

There are only a FEW basic principles that are EASY to understand, remember and follow.  Each principle is simple and straightforward.   There are no complex formulas or tables.  This is a common sense guide to create a lifestyle and “style of life” that allow you to reach your dreams of a better life.

  • IT’S NOT ANOTHER FAD DIET!

No Gimmicks.  No Surgery.  No Gyms. No Counting Calories. No expensive equipment. Enjoy a plan that sets you free from the constraints of well intended, but impossible to follow trendy diets.  What works is what’s workable.  Skip the Yo-Yo Diets and CURL (Change UR Life) by adopting A Healthy Lifestyle.

  • A REALISTIC PLAN

The underlying theme of this plan is a belief that realistic goals can be achieved in a “style of life” that is not difficult to maintain.  The program was the result of a need to lose weight that I had accumulated over the years.  My Doctor prescribed ‘marching orders’  were to change my life to reverse this gain with the real goal to maintain a lower weight forever.  I set a realistic goal of losing 20 pounds in a YEAR.  I know a year sounds less impressive than other diets you have probably seen, but I didn’t gain that weight in a few weeks so I knew it should take a longer effort to lose the love handles and keep them off. ( Not only did I maintain the loss, I continued losing until I reached my ‘college weight’ with a loss of almost 30 pounds in two years.)

I do have one quick VERY IMPORTANT POINT to make.  Before you begin this process you should CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR to establish any personal restrictions you might have that conflict with the elements of this plan.  For example, If you are lactose intolerant or allergic to certain foods, part or all of this plan may not be appropriate for you.  I actually began this journey after a chat with my family doctor who provided the inspiration and advice for me create the CURL PLAN.  I also found the annual follow-up visits extremely valuable as way of measuring and evaluating my results.

So enough hype!  Let’s get to the steps I took to lose the weight and keep it off.

Look, I know losing weight can be tough for many people to even consider and this plan may not be perfect for everyone.  My personal belief is good diets and weight loss plans are like snowflakes: while they all share enough common features to make them similar from a distance, closer inspection reveals no two are exactly alike.   So here is some other Related and Helpful Information from the blizzard out there:
